Page 2 of 2 Synopsis: Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2 of the Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source contract to CABLEVISION SYSTEMS CORPORATION, DBA CABLEVISION 1111 STEWART AVE, BETHPAGE NY, 11714. This is under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253 (c) (1) FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Objective: The objective of this requirement is providing Cable Service at Northport VA Medical Center, 79 Middleville Road, Northport, NY 11768-2200 for approximately 300 Televisions deployed in patient bedrooms, intensive care unit, emergency room, dialysis unit, chemotherapy unit, medical clinics, outpatient clinics (at main campus), waiting rooms, public areas and staff break rooms throughout the medical center. The following are required factors must be met concerning the Cable Services: Cable Service may be analog which does not require cable boxes at every TV for user to select channels, or digital, provided that cable boxes are not required at every TV to select channels. High Definition (HD) is not required, but may be provided if available, either free of charge, or at an additional Full Service/Maintenance 24 hours per day This agreement will be a firm fixed price contract. The North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 515210 and the size standard is $35.5 million. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
