This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Parts 12 and 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number NCNA2600-6-00010 is issued as a request for quotation. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 423410. The Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Ocean Service (NOS), Communications and Education Division (CED) Ocean Media Center (OMC) intends to rent underwater equipment for production of the National Marine Sanctuaries Maritime Heritage Film. The specifications of the required equipment are detailed below: 1) Underwater housing suitable to 175ft of seawater of Panasonic 27V HD camera. Must have all controls including white balance. Much have optically correct dome port, and a flat port. Must have fully housing support equipment including spare parts. 4 weeks duration. 2) High Def. Wide Angle lens 5.2mm or wider suitable for Panasonic 27V camera and the above housing. 4 weeks duration. 3) Underwater lights - 2 heads 50 watts each color temperature of 5600-6200K must be able to mount on housing if necessary. 4 weeks duration. 4) Ultra light Dolly with lightweight hand truck. 2 weeks duration. The award shall be made on a best value basis. The solicitation document and incorporated clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular Number 2005-12. The Government shall award a firm fixed price purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.
