The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 17 Network Contracting Activity, intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract with Cooper­ Atkins Corporation located at 33 Reed's Gap Rd, Middlefield, CT 06455-1138 for Temp-Trac Wireless Refrigerator Temperature Monitoring device maintenance services. Location is the South Veterans Health Care System 7400 Merton Minter Boulevard, San Antonio, Texas 78229-3664. NAICS 811412 applies. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C.253 (c) (1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 6.302-1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). The described services is for San Antonio existing equipment currently in use at the South VA Medical Center and only Cooper­ Atkins Corporation can fulfill this requirement. No other company is expected to respond to the requirement Cooper­ Atkins Corporation, is the sole proprietary manufacturer and does not use distributors or sub-license any portion of the product. Period of Performance shall be from 1 October 2014 - 30 September 2015 with possible option years. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available.
