The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 17 Network Contracting Activity, intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract with Pitney Bowes, PO Box 371896, Pittsburg, PA 15250 for Mail Equipment Rental. Location is the Central VA Medical Center Temple, TX 76504. NAICS 532420 applies. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C.253 (c) (1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 6.302-1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). The described service must match the service currently in use at the Central VA Medical Center and only Pitney Bowes can fulfill this requirement. No other company is expected to respond to the requirement. Period of Performance shall be from the date of award, to include four (4) option periods. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available.
