The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), intends to award on a sole-source basis, per FAR 6.302-1, a base plus-two option year contract to SCMC No 1, LLC for the lease of a 250KW back-up generator located in the building at 111 South Tejon Street, Suite 222, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. The lease includes the Liebert HVAC Unit, two heat pumps, a condenser pump and variable frequency drive. The dollar value for the base plus two options years is $15,000.00 per year for a total of $45,00.00. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by DLA to the Contracting Officer, Loretta C. Buckley, at Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), ATTN: Loretta C. Buckley (DES-A), 8725 John J. Kingman Road, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060. Fax (703) 767-1172 or email [email protected] by 12:00 pm, EST, September 8, 2006. No telephone inquiries/responses will be accepted. See Government-wide numbered note 22. The following Questions and Answers are provided: 1) Could you tell me the Output Voltage of the generator? Answer: See #2 below for wattage. The generator is a 480/277 volt system. Phase to Phase or Phase to Ground. Answer: Phase to Phase 2) Could you tell me if the 250 KW is Prime Power or Standby Power? Please se below for explanation. Answer: Stand-by Power 3) What are the minimum and maximum run hours that the generator is going to work? Answer: Generator is a backup (stand-by) only and is used in the event of a power outage (with the exception of routine checks and maintenance). 4) Who is going to be in charge of generator maintenance (Oils and filters changes, etc?)? The contractor or the contracting agency? Answer: The contractor 5) Is the contractor going to replace and connect the generator? If so, does the contractor need to do some electrical installation for the generator? Answer: No, the generator will not be replaced and is already hard-wired to building. 6) Is the due date going to change? Answer: The closing date of the solicitation will remain the same. 7) Is it required that the generator has an ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch)? Answer: Yes
