Justification for Sole Source Only
The North Atlantic Industries board is the only board that meets the requirements necessary for integration with F-15 Avionics Test Benches. It is essential that all of the requirements for this item are met in order to ensure continued operations of the test benches. The North Atlantic boards are an integral part of an overall effort to upgrade the backbone of the F-15 Avionics Test Benches. Acquisition of the items from North Atlantic Industries will avoid the significant adverse costs and schedule impacts associated with the training and development required to write new drivers and software applications. In addition, hardware designs have already been completed and are in use in the AMP SIL specifically for these products, which will reduce the time required to integrate these cards into the RTB and RERP SIL.
