This is a sources sought/market research notice conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10, Market Research. Malcolm Grow Medical Clinic is requesting the purchase of a Vitek 2 and a Vitek MS system - BioMerieux's VITEK MS and VITEK 2 will replace the current VITEK analyzer that was purchased in 2006 and it's currently 2 years past its life expectancy. MGMC Clinical Laboratory has a microbiology department that does approximately 1,100 cultures per month. The VITEK MS system in conjunction with the VITEK 2 is being requested because it will give organism identifications within minutes as opposed to hours.
