The Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Acquisition and Grants Office (AGO), Eastern Acquisition Division (EAD) on behalf of the National Weather Service (NWS) has a requirement for Visibility Present Weather Sensor(s).
The Visibility And Present Weather Sensor acquisition shall utilize the acquisition procedures in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 12, Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services, in conjunction with FAR 15, Contracting by Negotiation.
The anticipated award shall be a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) single-award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract.
The IDIQ lifecycle shall consist of a five one-year ordering periods from the date of award. The anticipated date of award is in or around July 2025.
The anticipated award will go to the contractor who can successfully provide the requirement and who is determined to be the best value to the Government.
The North American Industry Classification System code for this acquisition is 334519, Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing, with a size standard of 600 employees. This acquisition has no small business set-aside and is being solicited under full and open competition.
A Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation will be made available for download on or about November 29, 2024 at http://www.sam.gov. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued.
It is required that all prospective contractors register on SAM and maintain an active registration during the life of the IDIQ and subsequent Delivery Orders. SAM registration is required for award.
