The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with Vibro-Meter Inc. of Londonderry, NH for the acquisition of twelve (12) Vibration Transducers (Accelerometers), P/N 444-153-000-501, to support the T-45 aircraft program. The Vibration Transducers are required, in conjuction with the Automatic Track and Balance System (ATABS), for T-45 jet pipe resonance detection. The Government intends to procure the Vibration Transducers under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not own current data, drawings, or other specifications to permit full and open competition. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
