The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego (SSC San Diego) intends to award a contract to SBS Technologies, 7401 Snaproll N.E., Albuquerque, NM 87109, on a sole-source basis for twenty-two (22) Versa Module Eurocard (VME) cards. The SBS Technologies MIL-STD 1397 Type F card, part number ASF-V6-1/MRTM, is the only compatible product available to support the existing Command and Control Processor (C2P) software. An alternate product would require rewriting of the existing C2P software, which would require over 5 man-years of effort, leading to fiscal impacts and delays to the delivery and installation schedules throughout the US and FMS Navies.
