The Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Laboratory created the National DNA Index System (NDIS) Operational Procedures Manual to ensure the reliability, accuracy and compatibility of DNA records uploaded to NDIS. This manual lists Verogen's ForenSeq DNA Signature Prep Kit as the only acceptable Forensic Next Generation Sequencing Kit for use with certain types of DNA analysis technology. Additionally, Verogen's MiSeq FGx Sequencing System is the only instrument available for use with the Signature Prep Kit. As the manufacturer of the instrument and prep kits, Verogen is the only vendor who can provide validation assistance for the instrument.
