The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) intends to make a sole source award to Verizon South Inc., 9903 Paramount Blvd, Suite 276, Downey, CA 90240-3805 for the purchase of local telephone services. Services are for the PBGC Field Benefit Administration (FBA) office in Sarasota, FL pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 and utilizing the Simplified Acquisition method described in FAR 13.106. The Period of Performance shall be for a 12 month period from 1 October 2014 through 30 September 2015. Services shall consist of local dial tone and ISDN services that allow phone calls through the PBGC Private Branch Exchanges (PBE).

This is a logical follow-on for the continuation of services. This is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any interested party/parties may request further information no later than Tuesday, 12 August 2014 by 11:00 AM Eastern Standard Time. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This is not a solicitation but a Notice of Intent. No solicitation shall be issued. PBGC will not reimburse for any costs connected with providing the capability information. Oral communication is not acceptable in response to this notice.
