Solicitation Number: FA8307-16-R-0108

Title: Vent Manifold Outboard Whole Air Collection System (WACS), Vent Manifold Inboard WACS, WACS Vessel Case Lids

OEM: Mechtronic Solutions, Inc.       CAGE Code: 1E3G6

NAICS Code: 326199                       Classification Code: 9330

AFLCMC/HNCK Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division, Contracting Branch Joint Base San Antonio - Lackland TX, is seeking vendors who have the capability to provide the following:

1. Vent Manifold Outboard, WACS, Part Number: R69043, Rev A, Quantity: 4 each
2. Vent Manifold Inboard, WACS, Part Number: R69044, Rev A, Quantity: 4 each
3. WACS Vessel Case Lids, Part Number: EF11-000-01-001, Rev A, Quantity: 300 each

The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) is Mechtronic Solutions, Inc.

Mechtronic Solutions, Inc. owns the proprietary rights for both the vent manifolds and vessel case lids as they assisted in the development of the drawings and molds. The vent manifolds are precision-made, high pressure stainless steel lines which must be manufactured within strict welding/brazing standards. These standards are very stringent, and not releasable to industry, therefore drawings are restricted from release to industry. The vessel case lids are created using an injection plastic process in a case mold which was tested and approved by the Air Force Configuration Control Board.

Potential vendors for this effort would have to have an agreement with the OEM, Mechtronic Solutions, Inc. to ensure they can meet specifications and the appropriate Air Force approvals.

This is not a request for competitive proposals. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Those interested firms must indicate whether they are a large, small, small disadvantaged, 8 (a) or woman owned business and whether they are located in the U.S. or foreign owned.

An AFLCMC Ombudsman has been appointed to hear and facilitate the resolution of concerns from offerors, potential offerors, and others for this acquisition. In addition, AFFARS 5352.201-9101 Ombudsman (Apr 2014), will be included in this acquisition's solicitation and contract. The AFLCMC Ombudsman can be contacted at: (Primary) Lt Col Kenneth L.
