INTRODUCTION AND PROGRAM HISTORY Multnomah County Vector Control protects health and enhances livability through control of the rat and mosquito populations, and serves as a resource for addressing public health vector problems. Programs include Rodent Control, Mosquito Control and Code Enforcement, which enforces some specific county and city municipal codes. This bid is for Mosquito control products. SCOPE OF WORK Multnomah County Vector Control is seeking vendors who will provide products which will be used for Mosquito Control and Code Enforcement. The products will provide consistent control and performance. Depending on the product form, residual control activity can range from 7 days all the way up to 150 days giving mosquito control professionals peace of mind that they’re covered when needed most. Each Altosid® larvicide or approved equivalent formulation contains (S)-methoprene, an insect growth regulator (IGR) that stops mosquitoes from becoming breeding, biting adults. SPECIFICATIONS AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Multnomah County Health Department’s Vector Control is soliciting bids for Mosquito control products. (Please see the attached sheet with the list of the products attached as an attachment at the Buyers Attachment Section and at the Item section in this event. Program will order in bulk on an as-needed basis. Include shipping cost in bid pricing Contract Award: County intends to only issue one award in reference to this bid. Warranty Policy Contractors shall furnish warranty for all products. In addition, the warranty shall include the following: There shall be no distance or time limitations, not applicable to the trade in general, on either standard or extended warranty or labor. All franchised or authorized dealers of the item in the state shall honor warranty. Any extended warranty period customarily granted shall be made available to County at no additional cost. County shall be advised of all product recall on all or any part of the item, at no additional cost. All product recall information, shall be provided to the County as soon as available to dealer. RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE We are seeking packaging materials that reduce consumption of materials, maximize recycled fiber, responsible virgin fiber, rapidly renewable fiber, waste fiber, and other innovative materials that promote cleaner production, use, and disposal or the ability for clean recycling and remanufacturing. Whenever possible, minimize the use of chemical treatments for landscaping and grounds that include using less toxic pesticides, fertilizers, and herbicides. We are seeking suppliers who use packaging that is recyclable, biodegradable, and or reusable.
