The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a sole source award in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Services Acquisition Reform Act of 2003 (41 U.S.C. 428a). A sole-source, fixed-price procurement with VayTek Inc. 505 North Third St. Po Box 732 Fairfield, IA for the purchase of 4 (each) of the Viper Mobile Recorder Systems  under RFQ E013650. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fedbizopps.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.

The Viper recorders manufactured by VayTek Inc. have the ability to fit approximately one month of time-lapsed video and motion into one single hard drive as well as export and integrate images into future data repositories. They are also the only recorder currently that can start/stop recording for minimization rather than continuously recording.  The recorders must be compatible with existing viper recorders therefore VayTek is the only company to meet the FBI requirement.
