Department of Transportation, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration wishes is to obtain contract support to conduct thorough off-site regulatory reviews of all commercial motor vehicle safety regulations in each State, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands to document variations from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) and the Federal Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR).
The objective of the Regulatory Review is to determine if the State laws and regulations are in compliance with the provisions of the Surface Transportation Assistance Act of 1982 and the implementing MCSAP regulations in 49 CFR Part 350 ââ¬â Commercial Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program, and to document any variances discovered in each State.
