The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to issue a sole source firm-fixed price purchase order for the software maintenance of “Vanguard Automated Tool for Password Resets” to Vanguard Integrity Professionals Inc (quantity 1). This purchase order will be made on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1 (c) brand name and FAR 11.105. The Vanguard Automated Tool for Password Resets is unique in that it is a password self reset to interface with the cbrs user base. It is a module that interfaces with the current suite of products for reports. The continued maintenance and for the current Automated Tool for Password Resets software tools is necessary to in order to carry out the functions without interruption or system down time. The use of Vanguard’s Automated Tool for Password Resets software tools is essential to the Government’s requirements, thereby precluding consideration of a product manufactured by another company. The IRS has identified Vanguard Integrity Professionals Inc of Las Vegas, Nevada as the sole source for the Vanguard Automated Tool for Password Resets as it is proprietary software to Vanguard without resellers. Responsible sources who believe they can provide the required products may submit a written capability statement, via email, by 10 am ET on August 30, 2010. Telephone inquiries will be considered non-responsive. No solicitation will be issued, therefore, requests for solicitations will be considered non-responsive. If no responses are received the award will be made to Vanguard Integrity Professionals Inc.
