MSC Sealift Program Management Office, Code PM52P, requests proposals for vessel(s) capable of meeting the transportation requirements described below. Subj: RFP N00033-04-R-5250 Vessel Required: U.S. or foreign flag vessel for one voyage with option for a second consecutive voyage (to be declared no later than 24 hours after vessel’s departure from first port.) to move the cargo described in Box 2 below. Minimum required speed of the vessel is 8 knots laden in moderate weather. Maximum draft of the vessel is 2 meters. In accordance with the Cargo Preference Act of 1904 and Section IIIA.3 of the Voluntary Intermodal Sealift Agreement (VISA) (see 68 FEDERAL REGISTER 8800-8808, February 25, 2003), preference will be given to U.S. flag vessels and VISA participants. Cargo Description: First voyage: 12 TEUs +/- 20% CHOP of Ammo, HAZMAT class 1.3G, 1.4C, and 1.4S in a single lift. Option voyage: 20 TEUS +/- 20% CHOP of Ammo, HAZMAT class 1.4S in a single lift.
