The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center has a requirement for lodging and meeting space to conduct GREAT Officers? Training (Two Week Program) in Portland, OR. The requirement consists of (1) Single Occupancy Lodging for seven Instructors from 10/27/02 through 11/08/02?for twelve nights?for a total of 84 Room Nights (RN); four room nights will be included for use as needed to cover instructors who must arrive early or depart late; (2) Double Occupancy Lodging with two beds for an estimated thirty-six students (18 double rooms) from 10/27/02 through 11/08/02?twelve nights?for a total of 216 RN; four rooms ? 24 nights ? are added to accommodate an odd number of male/female students if required; five nights are added for use as needed to cover students who must arrive early or depart late; (3) Main Classroom for weekday use which is a minimum of 1800 SF (no L-shaped rooms; an unobstructed view of the front; accommodates a total 58 people?42 students plus up to 16 training staff and/or observers; U-shaped or classroom seating for 42 students, classroom seating for staff (back of room), comfortable chairs, 2 students per 6? table/chair and table requirements are also applicable to the breakout rooms below; Instructor/Presenter table at the front of the room; Receptacles for AV equipment near the front and a projection screen; (4) Breakout Rooms, 6 per day, minimum of 400 SF; unobstructed view of the front; set-up classroom style with table in front for instructor; receptacles for AV equipment; If sufficient partition is available, the main classroom may be divided and used for two of the rooms. Needed Mon ? Fri of the 1st week and Mon ? Thu the second week; (5) Presentation Rooms: Needed for 2nd week. Three rooms, at least 750 SF, (i.e., 25? x 30?). Classroom-style seating for 22 in each room with comfortable chairs and spacious tables (i.e., 2 people per 6? table or 3 people per 8? table). (6) Graduation Room needed for 2nd Friday, last day of training. If available, need separate room from the main classroom. Of sufficient size to seat all participants, training staff, guests, and visitors in theater-style seating. Equipped with podium and small table. (7) Staff Room ? small conference room with adequate space for 10 people (may be a sleeping-style room with a parlor/living room, with telephone/fax line capabilities, Saturday of check-in through Friday of check-out; (7) Storage Room for equipment and supplies, approximately 80 SF, beginning Sunday at check-in until class ends on the second Friday. Vendors previously found acceptable need not schedule another site visit. The preferred method of obtaining the solicitation is by downloading if from www.eps.gov.
