The U.S. Consulate General Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, has a requirement for school bus service to transport dependents of American officers stationed at the Consulate to and from schools in El Paso, Texas. Bus service on school days for approximately 32 students will be required, priced on a per-roundtrip basis, with the possibility of additional services priced to enable the Consulate to order additional trips as needed. Proposed contract type would be indefinite quantity, fixed price with economic price adjustment starting in August 2006 for one year, with four, one-year options to renew. Interested firms may obtain Dedicated Commuter Lane access to expedite border crossing at their own expense by paying fees to CAPUFE and DHS, estimated at approximately $400 per vehicle. This acquisition is being processed as a commercial item acquisition using the special test program in Subpart 13.5 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. Solicitation number S-WHARC-06-Q-1023 will be issued as a Request for Quotations, small business set-aside; the size standard is $6.5 million. See Numbered Note 1.
