V221 - Aircraft Rental - Cessna 185 or 206 Aircraft with pilot that is low level operation approved. Aircraft requirements: wheel/skis, VHF radio tracking system integrated with aircraft com system, GPS, 1 passenger seat for biologist. Contractor will be required to haul Jet B fuel to the field in contractor supplied DOT rated containers. Work will be in support of Polar Bear Radio Tracking in the Beaufort Sea. Base of operation will be Deadhorse, Alaska. Project includes radio tracking of bears as well as hauling supplies, fuel and personnel to sea ice and other landing locations. Estimated project dates March 22, 2004 thru May 7, 2004. Estimated 250 flight hours. This project is being offered to qualified vendors currently on the DOI, Aircraft Rental Agreement.
