The Regional Contracting Office-Alaska (RCO-AK) has a requirement in support of the Directorate of Logistics (DOL), Fort Wainwright, Alaska. The proposed contract action is for Packing and Crating Support Services at Fort Wainwright Alaska and Fort Greely Alaska. The Contractor(s) shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and nonpersonal services necessary to perform Packing and Crating Support Services, Schedule I-III as defined in the Performance Work Statement except for those items specified as Government-furnished property and services. The Contractor shall provide Direct Procurement Method (DPM) Packing and Crating Support Services, Schedule III to the locations designated in the resulting contract in compliance with all local, state, and Federal laws.


The Government intends to solicit this requirement under FAR Part 12, Acquisition for Commercial Items, will be used in conjunction with the policies and procedures for solicitation, evaluation and award prescribed in FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation.

This acquisition will be set aside for Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB). The proposed contract type is a firm fixed-price requirements type contract. This acquisition contains a base period plus four option years.

The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 488991 (Packing and Crating) with a size standard of 25.5M. The solicitation will be issued/posted electronically and available for viewing at the following web sites: Army Single Face to Industry (AFSI) website at: https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi and Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) web site at http://www.fedbizopps.gov.

The solicitation issue date is anticipated to be on or about 29 April 2013. All qualified contractors may submit their proposal after the solicitation is posted.
