This sources sought is being issued for planning purposes only. This is not a solicitation. Responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The CT National Guard will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties responding to this notice. The intent of this notice is to identify qualified small business (SB) concerns, certified 8(A), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), and Woman Owned Small Businesses (WOSB) capable of performing the requirements described below. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 334111.
The project will consist of: CTARNG RFQ for 1 UV Printer:
Meet or exceed the following specifications:
• direct printing capabilities on three-dimensional items
• Minimum print area: 30"x13"
• Print on objects at least 3.75" in height
• flatbed
• 1,440 dpi print resolution
• CMYK, White, Clear, and Primer inks
• airtight enclosure and UV containment to eliminate dust contamination
• Ethernet connectivity
• Automatic height adjustment to determine optimal print height above objects
• Bi-Directional Printing
• At least 40 user job presets to store media and job information for quick recall to repeat jobs
• include RIP software
• laser alignment system
• vacuum table to hold objects in place
• Rotary attachment for printing on cylindrical objects
• Compatible air filtration system with activated charcoal filter and adjustable airflow to remove fumes and odors; 115V; low noise; Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) sensor; Must fit under printer and act as stand for printer with adjustable castors.
• Must provide installation and training. Training will be up to 4 hours AFTER complete installation, using our substrates, and our designs. Time required for training, up to 4 hours, will be determined by Visual Information staff, not vendor. Training may take place on the day after setup if required to meet 4-hour timeframe within duty hours. Training will cover basic and advanced operation. Training will cover use of clear, white, and primer inks from design considerations to production.

This market research is for informational and planning purposes only. The Government will not pay any costs for responses submitted. Upon review of industry response to this sources sought synopsis, the Government will determine whether a set-aside acquisition in lieu of full and open competition is in the Government's best interest.
