This is a pre-solicitation notice.
The Southeast Regional Maintenance Center intends to issue a request for proposal (RFP) on a full and open competition basis to solicit sources capable of supporting continuous maintenance availability (CMAV) to include various mechanical, structural, electrical, piping, and cleaning and pumping work items on USS FARRAGUT (DDG 99). Offerors must have or be able to obtain an Agreement of Boat Repair (ABR) by the time of award.
This synopsis is for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or any Government commitment. The Government will not reimburse interested parties to this notice for any costs associated with responding or subsequent information exchanges. Future announcements will appear on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at https://www.fbo.gov, which interested parties should monitor for updates.
In accordance with 10 U.S.C. 7299A, the "Homeport Statute", this procurement will solicit offers from all offerors capable of performing the work in the Mayport homeport area.
However, the Government reserves the right to consider only offers from small business concerns, if it receives at least two offers from responsible small concerns, and an award can be made at a fair market price. If the Government does not receive at least two responsible small business offers, the Government will withdraw the small business restriction in accordance with FAR 19.506 and shall consider all offers.
NOTE: All offerors, both large and small business concerns, are required to submit proposals at the close of this solicitation in order to be considered during any time of this process.
