The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has a requirement for the reservation and rental of the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium for the purposes of hosting the TM Expo.
The USPTO intends to negotiate and award a contract for the site use of Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium (NAICS 531312) to Event Emissary (EE) / AWMA, Mellon Auditorium, P.O. Box 575, Washington, DC 20044. The period of performance will be October 20, 2016 for a total of 10 hours, October 21, 2016 for a total of 10 hours, and October 22, 2016 for a total of 14 hours. The estimated award amount will be $40,750.00. The anticipated award date is June 25, 2015.
The USPTO conducted extensive market research in determining the venue and location of the TM Expo and it is in the government's best interest to hold the TM Expo event at this site. The results of the market research have indicated that Event Emissary (EE) / AWMA is the only qualified source. As a result of USPTO's exemption from the Competition in Contracting Act, the subject requirement is being procured using Alternative Competition Method in accordance with the Patent and Trademark Office Acquisition Guidelines (PTAG) and the Patent and Trademark Office Efficiency Act, 35 U.S.C. 2(b)(4)(A).
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
