USDA MEAT AND AQUATIC PURCHASE PROGRAMS ANNOUNCED:

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) today announced plans to purchase meat and aquatic products for Federal food nutrition assistance programs. Offers will be invited pursuant to the AMS Master Solicitation for Commodity Procurements dated April 2013, for the following items:

All offers must be submitted electronically through the Web-Based Supply Chain Management (WBSCM) website at http://www.usda.gov/wps/portal/usda/usdahome?navid=WBSCM. Offers submitted by any means other than WBSCM will be considered nonresponsive.

Solicitations will be issued on a periodic basis for deliveries from July 2013 through June 2014. Offers to sell these products must be received no later than the date specified on the Solicitation.

Offerors are urged to carefully read all applicable terms and conditions of the AMS Master Solicitation for Commodity Procurements dated April 2013; the Vendor Qualification Requirements dated September 2012; and Commodity Specifications as indicated on the Solicitations.

Offerors should be aware that AMS will be purchasing new frozen beef patty materials this year. Updated specifications for the following materials will be made available in the near future:
