This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This notice is being issued by the U.S. Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center, Oakland, CA. This is NOT a pre-solicitation/solicitation notice for requesting proposals/quotations. No solicitation is available and this sources sought notice does not infer that any solicitation will be made by the U.S. Coast Guard in the future. Any and all responses to this notice is considered by the government to be voluntary and at no cost to the Government. Responses to this notice and the information collected will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method only.

Pursuant to FAR Part 10 (Market Research), the purpose of this notice is to: (1) determine if sources capable of satisfying the agency's requirements exists, (2) determine if commercial items suitable to meet the agency's needs are available or could be modified to meet the agency's requirements, and (3) determine the commercial practices of company's engaged in providing the needed service or supply. Pursuant to FAR Part 6 and FAR Part 19, competition and set-aside decisions may be based on the results of this market research. This notice in no way obligates the Government to any further action.

The U.S. Coast Guard is looking for sources/contractors which would be interested in performing and providing all necessary labor, supervision, materials, services, equipment, supplies, power, accessories, special tools and such other things as are necessary to perform DRYDOCK repairs for Coast Guard Cutter SEQUIOA (WLB-215), a 225’ ocean going buoy tender. See separate Attachment for preliminary specifications, which may be incomplete at this time. (Work to be performed is subject to change at the discretion of the Government).

The applicable NAICS Code is 336611, Ship Building and Repairing, and the size standard is 1,250 employees.
