Opportunity Summary The Oregon Department of Transportation ("ODOT" or "Agency") is seeking Proposals from Professional Services and Related Services consultants to provide bridge coating inspection and monitoring Services ("Services"). Proposers responding to the RFP do so solely at their expense, and Agency is not responsible for any Proposer expenses associated with the RFP. Project Description/General Background Information: ODOT will be contracting with a separate firm ("Coating Contractor") to provide the following work (which is not included within the scope of this RFP): - Coating services and fastener replacement for the US101: Columbia River (Astoria-Megler) Bridge Project. - Fasteners on the bridge determined to be unacceptable will be replaced, which will include preparing and coating all existing steel on the steel spans of the bridge. - It is anticipated that much of the Contractor's work will occur during one shift per day. However, depending on the Contractor's approach, the work may occur in multiple containments, seven days per week, twenty-four hours per day. Selected Consultant will provide the following Services for the US101: Columbia River (Astoria-Megler) Bridge Project: - Bridge coating testing and monitoring services for the structure coating. - Identification of fasteners in need of replacement and monitor the replacement work. - Identification of areas of pack rust to be removed and monitor the removal work. - Provide a Lead Inspector and additional personnel to complete the Services and provide, with the Resident Engineer's (RE) agreement and approval, sufficient personnel to perform the Services required by the Contract. - Testing and monitoring services at all times when preparation and coating work is in progress and during fastener replacement.
