This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2-"Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions," requiring the dissemination of information on proposed contract actions.
The U. S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces (USCAAF) requires the ability to provide funding for the federally-permitted transit benefit under 5 U.S.C. §7905, pursuant to Executive Order 13150. The anticipated date of delivery will be within thirty (30) days of contract award. The anticipated sole source purchase order award to WMATA is for the purchase of transportation fare cards/tickets via Metro's SmartBenefits, where funds are electronically applied towards use of Metrorail, Metrobus, DC Circulator, Metro-registered van pools, DASH, Ride On, Fairfax Connector, CUE, Loudoun County Transit on the behalf of fifteen (15) USCAAF Federal Employees.. These fare cards/tickets will be used for commuting between home and work as well as work-to-work in the National Capital Region (NCR).
