MSHA IS SEEKING VENDORS THAT CAN PROVIDE THE BELOW REQUIREMENTS: The Academy Printing and Training Materials Distribution Branch completes printing and mailing of MSHA documents, training materials, flyers, PPL’s, PIB’s, posters etc. The VideoJet labeling system used to complete the mailings requires an upgrade to the PC Controller. The current PC controller is at the end of the life cycle; it can only print from a TXT2 format and still has a 5 ½ inch floppy. Due to these limitations the process to print needs to have data downloaded from different software packages must then be converted to TXT2 format. The upgrade to the controller will be using Windows XP to bring it into compliance with the Department of Labor and MSHA. The upgrade will also allow MSHA security patches to be installed. The system upgrade would also allow labeling to be completed from other input formats, such as Access, Excel, and TXT, along with the ability to use bar codes, and the equipment will also be network enabled. Video Jet Back end (printers) is still usable for the next few years. POC is Rhonda Emmert @ [email protected] or fax to 304-256-3350. NO PHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Please notify Rhonda Emmert via e-mail or fax if you can provide the requirements specified herein. ***Please see attached statement of work for details concerning technical requirements/specifications***
