The contractor shall provide and install a DME capable of accepting keying data for the station identifier from a Thales Mk20A localizer. The DME shall be FAA approved for installation and commissioning in the NAS in accordance with FAR 171. The DME shall be a wall mount, and installation shall be in the existing localizer shelter, coordinated with the localizer installation contractor. The installation shall include a tilt over mast on an approved foundation, and include all interconnect cabling. The DME shall include a complete set of spare boards and modules, and any necessary test equipment to allow verification of the facility to FAA specifications at FAA specified intervals. The contractor shall also provide and install a DME remote status monitor at an airport designated site. The contractor shall coordinate with the localizer installation contractor to facilitate a timely installation and commissioning of the localizer/dme approach.
