The Virginia Contracting Activity (VACA), anticipates the release of a Department of Defense (DoD) Mentor Protégé Program (MPP) solicitation in accordance with DFARS Appendix I.  Mentors shall identify a Protégé and submit a proposal in accordance with the solicitation instructions to be released in electronic format only via fbo.gov in the month of July. The proposal due date will be specified in the solicitation when it is issued. No additional media (CD-ROM, faxes, etc.) will be provided. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored. Anticipated award date for this program is September 2018.

Mentors are required to be approved through the DoD Office of Small Business Programs. 

Multiple agreements will be awarded up to the total budget. Proposal costs shall not exceed $400k per year with a total period of performance not to exceed three years. 

Place of performance shall be at the Mentor and/or Protégé’s facility.

The agreement issued will be cost reimbursement, no fee. 

The NAICs will be based upon the protégé’s primary NAICs.
