The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to solicit Irvine Access Floors, Inc. doing business at; 9425 Washington Blvd. North, Suite Y-WW, Laurel, MD 20723-1378 on a sole source basis in relation to brand name commercial item electrical under floor power distribution whips and boxes to support reconfigurations. The intended solicitation and resultant firm fixed price purchase order is a follow-on procurement for the continued development/expansion of the major under floor power distribution system previously competed and awarded according to architect and engineering specifications. In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b), authority to solicit from a single source when only one source can meet the requirement applies as no other manufacturer can provide the essential brand name components for the existing under floor power distribution system.

The pre-solicitation notice is for informational purposes. Irvine Access Floors, Inc. has been identified as the only authorized distributor of the brand name known as Communications Integrators Inc. (CII) for the region inclusive of Baltimore, Maryland.
Written responses to this pre-solicitation notice must contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona-fide capability to fulfill the aforementioned requirement. Responses will be evaluated at the agency's discretion. Essential information and responses must be received no later than 0800hrs EST, Monday, August 03rd, 2010 for consideration.
