THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6-STREAMLINED PROCEDURES FOR EVALUATION AND SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS-AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED, AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION.

THIS SOLICITATION DOCUMENT AND INCORPORATED PROVISIONS AND CLAUSES ARE THOSE IN EFFECT THROUGH FEDERAL ACQUISITION CIRCULAR 2005-76.

The Government reserves the right to procure or not procure the items specified based on the reasonability of quotations received. Further, proposals will be expected to specifically state specifically that they will comply with this requirement.

Requirement: 4 EA ultrasonic flaw detectors compliant with attached specifications

Inspection/Acceptance: F.O.B Destination.

Any questions concerning this requirement must be submitted in writing via email at least 5 working days prior to the closing date. Questions need to be emailed directly to [email protected] In accordance with FAR Clause 52.212-3, Offer Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, it is mandatory that all offerors wishing to be considered for award must be currently registered with System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov.

All current and/or future information about this acquisition, i.e. amendments, attachments, Questions and Answers (Q&A's), etc., will be distributed through FBO, therefore, interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most-up-to-date information about this solicitation. Proposals shall be filled out and submitted by 2:00 PM MST on 16 Oct 14.

EVALUATION CRITERIA AND BASIS FOR AWARD

All proposals submitted will be evaluated by the government for best value using price and other factors to include capabilities. The attached Description of Requirements is the minimums that need to be met to be considered for award.
