SLAC seeks vendors that can provide Ultrafast Laser Oscillator with the following minimum specifications:

a) The parameters of the oscillator are specified as follows.

• Pulse repetition rate frequency 61.9048 MHz±0.1 kHz fixed
• Average optical output power >100 mW
• Pulse duration <200 fs
• Pulses have no pedestals, no satellite pulses, no background, soliton shape
• Center wavelength out of laser oscillator 1030±1 nm
• Spectral bandwidth transform limited, soliton or gaussian shape, no ripples, no pedestals, un- chirped
• Time-bandwidth product <0.33 (200 fs correspond to about 6.0 nm)
• Collimated free space output, M2 <1.1
• Polarization extinction ratio >23 dB, fixed in direction
• Timing jitter <20 fs rms [1 kHz - 10 MHz]
• Amplitude noise <0.1% rms (1 h)
• No ASE background
• RIN performance shot-noise limited

Synchronization :
• Synchronization module for laser platform
• Requires option: Built-in piezo electric transducer (PZT) and internal photodiode
(PDI)
• Phase locked loop bandwidth >500 Hz
• Residual timing jitter relative to reference <20 fs rms [DC - 10 MHz]
• Frequency drift relative to reference input frequency:
• 1h: 0 Hz, 24h: 0 Hz, 18◦ C - 32◦ C: 0 Hz
• Input requirements: low-noise RF reference frequency input: 61.9048 MHz
• Input requirements: drift of reference signal is required to be <10 Hz on minute time scale

b) The oscillator will be synchronized to the FEL (electronic synchronization or optical synchronization).

c) The repetition rate of the oscillator is a harmonic to 1300/1400 (0.9286) MHz.

d) The output of the oscillator is used: as seed source for a high power fiber amplifier sys- tem (70%); to derive an electronic signal for electronic synchronization (2%); for optical synchronization to FEL (10%); to measure slow timing drifts in the amplifier system (18%).

e) Customer support required with a response time of <24 h.

f) If the company (vendor) does not have an established customer support with a response time of <24 h, an additional spare oscillator is required.

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. VENDORS INTERESTED IN BEING CONSIDERED AS A POTENTIAL SOURCE SHOULD IDENTIFY THEMSELVES AS AN "INTERESTED PARTY" VIA THE FBO PORTAL. DO NOT CONTACT THE SUBCONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR.
