Justification: for Sole Source: The similated munnitions used in our training weapons are designed to be used in concert with the UTM bolt and magazine systems. The use of equipmtent from other manufactors could result inoparability, bodily injury or death if not properly fitted to our current weapons systems.UTMs are one of the first technologies specifically designed for force-on-force training. The munitions provide realistic cyclic rates in semi-automatic and automatic weapons which match that of "live fire" The muzzle velocity is an average of less than 3ft/lbs incurring minimal noise and emissions. UTMs do not have to be handled as hazardous waste. UTM Therefore the proposed equiment must match the equipment currently being used at Robins AFB.
