Purpose of Procurement Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Proposals (eRFP) is being issued to establish a contract with a qualified supplier(s) who will provide Compressed Gases and related products and services to The University of Georgia (the State Entity) Athens Campus and surrounding Clarke County locations as further described in this eRFP. This will include the rental, delivery, and maintenance of compressed gases in both UGA owned and supplier owned cylinders as well as gas handling equipment and supplies. The eRFP is divided into two cost categories and proposers may submit responses to one or both of the categories in their proposals. The two cost categories included in this eRFP are Option #1 ¿ All Inclusive Pricing and Option #2 ¿ Pricing + Daily Rental Cost. UGA is prepared to make separate awards to no more than two suppliers. If UGA awards to two suppliers the UGA Delivery Zones Map (Attachment E) will be used to assign a single supplier to one zone. Currently there are approximately 64 building locations at UGA¿s Athens Campus and surrounding Clarke County locations that purchase this commodity. Historically, the total annual spend has been approximately $450,000 per year. This figure is an approximation based on historical data and should not be interpreted as representing actual usage quantities and spend now or in the future.
