In addition, NTI may periodically request proposers to edit/update the existing course materials. By attending this course, class participants will learn the historical background of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the environmental justice movement (as they relate to transportation). They will review Federal laws, regulations, and guidance on Title VI, environmental justice (EJ), the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and Limited English Proficiency (LEP), as well as discuss the resources available to help address these requirements. Participants will be able to apply the content learned during this course to their daily work activities and local transit environment.
