This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. 1. Offers will be received no later than Close of Business Friday 29 July 2005. Proposal may be submitted electronically to: [email protected] The contract period is approximately for a Base Year 27 August 2005 through 26 August 2006 with 4 Op tion Years and subject to the availability of funds. 2. The following is to be submitted as part of your offer: a. Resume: A one-page document, which identifies 1 year of experience Officiating Sporting Events. b. Three references: References can be pers onal references or professional references family members are excluded. Reference information shall include name, address, telephone number, and an indication that the reference is personal or professional. the Government may contact these references wit h regard to past performance. c. Prices: Include prices for the base period and the 4 option years. 3. Evaluation of Proposals: Technical and Past Performance when combined are greater than the cost factor. Subject: Statement of Work for Sports Officia ls/Timekeepers/Scorekeepers Sports: Football, Soccer, Track, Volleyball, Basketball men/woman/youth, Wrestling, Swimming, Lacrosse, Softball, Baseball, Scorekeeper, and Timekeeper. 1. All officials must be certified officials for the sport they officiate, and be certified to officiate at the collegiate level. 2. All officials must be active members in an official's organization that provides certified collegiate officials. 3. All officials must be willing to accept payment for services sometime after the sport season ends. 4. Officials must understand that they will not be paid if the contest they are assigned to officiate is cancelled, and they receive a minimum of 1 day advance notice of the cancellation, with the exception of baseball and softball where the games can be cancelled, (without payment) on the same day of the competition because of inclement weather. 5. Officials who arrive late for a competition may not be paid. 6. Officials who fail to show up for an assigned competition will not be paid. 7. Travel costs will not be paid for officials.
