The Industrial Production Department (6.2) at the Naval Air Depot (NAVAIR Depot), Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, NC has a requirement to procure training from Rolls-Royce PLC. Specific training to be provided are two Rolls-Royce Pegasus F-402-408 A/C Engine Familiarization courses and two F-402-408 A/C Engine Performance and Test courses. These courses are to be taught onsite at the NAVAIR Depot. This is a notice of intent to request a quote and negotiate with Rolls-Royce PLC, Filton, P.O. Box 3 Bristol, England. Rolls-Royce PLC has been identified as the only responsible source capable of meeting the government’s requirements since they are the prime contractor and manufacturer of the F402-408 engine. It is anticipated that a contract will be awarded to Rolls-Royce for a period of performance through 9/30/06. Responses to this synopsis should be received before 15 June 2006.
