The National Transit Institute is seeking proposals from qualified professionals to facilitate and modify, as required, its newly revised Public Involvement in Transportation Decision Making course.
Public Involvement in Transportation Decision Making is a three-day course that introduces the principles and practices of public involvement to those who carry out and to those who are affected by transportation projects. The course provides a basic familiarity with public involvement requirements and the strategies that can meet the requirements. More importantly, the course delves into the underlying motivations, attitudes, and organizational and individual values that motivate effective public participation. The course is designed to demonstrate elements of the course content through the use of techniques discussed to convey the knowledge and skills being taught. This allows for mutually reinforcing reflection on both the process and the content.
To obtain a copy of the complete Request for Proposal, send a written request on organization letterhead to the University Procurement & Contracting address above. Fax or e-mail requests will be accepted; telephone requests are unacceptable. Requests will be honored if received by June 6, 2006. .
