The National Transit Institute (NTI) is seeking proposals from qualified professionals to deliver its newly developed Project Management for Transit Professionals course. In addition, NTI may periodically request proposers to edit/update the course materials.
This course will help practitioners appreciate the importance of project management while building, managing, and executing a project plan. It is designed to provide project managers with accurate information on analyzing, leading, and managing the complexities of transit projects.
Participants will learn the basic concepts of project management (i.e., design elements for setting up and conducting projects); how to build, manage, and execute a project (including decision-making); the work break-down structure (an organization tool); dependency relations and analysis tools; estimating techniques; PERT/Gantt charting; how to build and use logic diagrams; budgeting techniques (including plan assessments); contingency planning and risk management (including crisis management); and change management (e.g., flexibility, re-defining).
To obtain a copy of the complete Request for Proposal, send a written request on organization letterhead to the University Procurement & Contracting address above. Fax or e-mail requests will be accepted; telephone requests are unacceptable. Requests will be honored if received by Wednesday, February 27, 2008.
Rutgers University is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to provide opportunities to small businesses, minority-owned businesses and/or female-owned businesses. These businesses are encouraged to submit proposals.
