MODIFICATION: RESPONSE DATE REVISED FROM 25 MARCH 2005 TO 29 MARCH 2005 -- NAVAIR intends to award a firm fixed price order with one fixed price option under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-03-G-0009 with McDonnell Douglas Corporation (MDC), a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, to provide pilot instructor training to support the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) F/A-18D training requirements and to provide all associated labor, supervision, materials, equipment, and travel. MDC is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, supplier, and integrator of the F/A-18 aircraft, and is the only known firm, which possesses the requisite knowledge of the aircraft's design, manufacture, configuration, operation and maintenance necessary to provide the training support to the RMAF. Only MDC has existing resources to perform the RMAF’s minimum needs in an accurate and timely manner. MDC is therefore uniquely qualified to successfully fulfill this requirement. See Note 22.
