UpToDate, Inc. provides on-line subscription access to clinical resource information. On-Line subscription access provides a "Search engine" type benefit of over 300 medical journals, "Topic Reviews" comprised of over 6000 topic discussions (equivalent of more than 50,000 pages of text), graphics, Medline abstracts, and a complete drug database. On-line subscription also covers thirteen medical specialties and subspecialties such as: Adult Primary Care & Internal Medicine; Cardiovascular Medicine; Endocrinology & Diabetes; Gastroenterology & Hepatology; Hematology; Infectious Diseases; Obstetrics & Gynecology; Oncology; Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine; Nephrology & Hypertension; Rheumatology; Family Practice, Pediatrics and Neurology. UpToDate's staff of in-house physicians provides reviews of over 300 medical journals and incorporates significant clinical findings regularly. UpToDate provides speedy access to and unique presentation of queried information. The government has determined that only one manufacturer can satisfy the agency's requirement and intends to negotiate with only one source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any vendor that determines it can meet the government's requirements may give written notice through email to Contract Specialist, Martin Frazier, [email protected], by February 10 2012, 2:00PM EST. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate ability to provide the above requirements at no cost or obligation to the government. All responses received will be evaluated by the government, however the information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement solely at the discretion of the government. If no responses are received the VA Tennessee n Healthcare System will precede to sole source this requirement to Up To Date Inc.
