This publication serves as a notice of intent to solicit and negotiate a sole-source, firm fixed-price contract under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, with Friends of Hearst Castle for NOAA's Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary (MBNMS). MBNMS has a requirement to establish interpretive exhibitry located near the Hearst's Castle's visitor Center, northern San Luis Obispo County, San Simeon District within the California State Parks' properties. The proposed contract is to obtain services to prepare the building interior, develop, fabricate and install a natural history interpretive exhibitry. The period of performance is from date of contract award through March 1, 2004. The NAICS code is 541850. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This notice represents the only official notice of such solicitation. See Numbered Note 22.
