Synopsis:

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.

This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

Solicitation No. 6991PE19Q000008 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation is being conducted in accordance with the policies and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2019-01, effective 01/22/2019. This procurement is being issued as a small business set-aside under NAICS code 541330, small business size standard $38.5 million.

The U.S. Department of Transportation, U.S. Maritime Administration, Oakland, CA, has a requirement for annual testing of the vessel's SSDG automation and circuit breakers, as well as testing and calibration of various field devices associated with the SSDG's, the main propulsion plant and auxiliary systems. The contractor is to provide a service technician with experience in testing and calibration of the vessel's SSDG automation systems and various field devices. Contractor is to coordinate with the vessel crew, ABS and USCG for the testing and calibration. Contractor technician is to check all safety devices and switchgear prior to COI and attend during COI and ABS Survey to assist Crew as needed.

REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS

The Government intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order as a result of this Combined Synopsis/Solicitation. This notice is expected to result in a single award, subject to receipt of an acceptable quotation in accordance with the Instructions, Conditions and Notice to Offeror attached. Award will be made to the technically acceptable offeror having satisfactory, relevant past performance, whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, offers the lowest price. The Offeror's price quotation shall include a firm fixed price for individual items and the total of all items as listed on the TSGB Pricing Sheet.
