The Superior National Forest is advertising for commercial portage operations at Trout and Priarie Lakes. Work includes providing assistance to people transporting watercraft and gear across the portages for a fee. The minimum annual fee to the Forest Service shall be three percent (3%) of gross annual receipts for the current year. The fee to the Forest Service may be offset through the completion of projects in accordance with the Grainger-Thye Act. The contract period includes one base year and four optional years. The Forest Service may issue one contract that includes both sites or two contracts, one for each site, based on proposals received. Please see the attached Solicitation and attachments for details.
