Join the Ohio Department of Education’s Troops to Teachers team as we recruit current and former military members to begin a new career as a public-school teacher. We are looking for individuals who have progressed through the Troops to Teachers program to acquire licensure and have proven expertise in teaching and leadership to join the team as part-time area coordinators. Troops to Teachers (TTT) is a national program funded by the Department of Defense (DoD) to help military veterans begin a new career as a public-school teacher — giving the military veteran the opportunity to use their leadership skills, knowledge and experience to have a positive effect on our nation's youth. The program provides counseling and referral services for participants to help them meet education and licensing requirements to teach. Subsequently, the program helps the military veteran secure a teaching position and provide counsel after placement. There are also financial benefits for military veterans that meet certain eligibility requirements. We are looking for individuals interested in a part-time position to work with military veterans within specific regions within Ohio.
