THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. FAR PART 13, SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES, IS UTILIZED IN THIS PROCUREMENT. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED, AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED.

This is an urgent requirement, therefore the contracting officer has established a shorter solicitation response time.

This solicitation is a request for quotation. The solicitation document incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-55.

The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334519- Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing. This is a full and open competition. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed-price purchase order to the offeror that offers the best value to the Government. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers:
(i) Technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement
(ii) price

The NIST Center for Neutron Research (NCNR) has a requirement for the items detailed in the schedule below. Offerors must complete the schedule by filling in their proposed unit firm fixed price, and total firm fixed price for the requirement.
