4.1 SCOPE OF WORK: 4.1.1 The scope of work includes all labor, materials, tools, equipment, services necessary for, and incidental to performing all operations in connection with watering 1,500 tree sites throughout the City of Pasadena. 4.1.2 The scope of work in this section includes, but is not limited to, the following: 4.1.2.1 Weekly watering of up to 1,500 tree sites; minimum 1,000 tree sites 4.1.2.2 Recreate a tree well in the event of a wash out during tree watering 4.1.2.3 Loosen compacted soil when water is not absorbed 4.1.3 Contractor is responsible for reporting to the City the following deficiencies noticed during the watering route: 4.1.4 Damaged or missing tree stakes 4.1.5 Broken limbs 4.1.6 Weed eater damage 4.1.7 Tree stake adjustments 4.1.8 Missing trees 4.1.9 Girdling tree ties 4.1.10 Sunken trees 4.2 DEFINITION OF TERMS: 4.2.1 Tree Well: a circular tree well without any breaks in the berm with dirt on the outside edge of the tree stakes. 4.2.2 Watering: Performed weekly throughout 40 weeks annually, fill the tree well with water allowing it to percolate, and then refill the tree well again for a total of 10-gallons. 4.3 TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, AND VEHICLES: 4.3.1 Contractor is responsible for providing all of the tools, equipment, and vehicles required to perform this service (tree watering). 4.3.2 Vehicles may include, but are not limited to a water truck tanker with side arms that is able to connect to a fire hydrant.
